In Jeddah, known as the "Gateway to Mecca," one finds themselves amidst a bustling metropolis steeped in history. The city's historic district, Al-Balad, showcases ornate architecture dating back centuries, juxtaposed with modern skyscrapers lining the Corniche, where the Red Sea's turquoise waters beckon visitors for leisurely strolls. Venturing inland towards Taif, the ambiance shifts to a more tranquil setting, nestled amidst the misty heights of the Sarawat Mountains. Taif's mild climate and lush orchards offer a refreshing escape, particularly during the Taif Rose Festival (May 7-14) when the air is perfumed with the delicate scent of Damask roses.
