Spend one week visiting the most important of Morocco! You'll get to experience the historic capital Rabat, explore the fascinating Roman ruins of Volubilis, dive into the cultural richness of Fez, and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Marrakech. Each of these places has its own unique charm and attractions. This trip will let you experience Morocco’s rich culture, interface with a very welcoming people, taste their extraordinary gastronomy and return home with unforgettable memories!
Day 1: Casablanca, Rabat
After arrival formalities in Casablanca, meet our representative who will drive you to your hotel in Rabat, where you'll have the rest of the day to rest and relax. Late afternoon, meet your Tour Manager for an orientation chat followed by a light dinner. [D]
Day 2: Rabat, Volubilis, Fez
This morning, visit the city of Rabat starting at the Royal Palace and continuing to the Oudaya Kasbah and the Hassan Tower. Visit the Oudaya National Museum of Ornaments. On the way to Fez, stop to visit the ancient ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, where you'll have the chance to see the well-preserved original mosaics, the Roman road and the city map. Heading to the hotel in Fez, you'll take a short bus tour of the imperial city, led by your guide. [B]
Day 3: Fez
Today will be dedicated a guided tour to discover the many hidden treasures of the medina that only a Moroccan guide can know. Fez was the capital of Morocco for over 400 years and is home to Al Karaouine University. The city is particularly famous for its tanneries and the Fès el Bali medina. The best view of the tanneries is from a visit to the surrounding leather stores. See the Attarine Medersa, the mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the fountains and the Nejjarine museum and, finally, admire the exterior of the royal palace and stroll through the medina's famous Jewish quarter, where you'll have the opportunity to walk through one of Morocco's few remaining Jewish cemeteries. Day 4: Fez, Marrakesh
Early departure from the hotel to take the highway to Marrakesh. This will be the longest ride of the tour. There will be plenty of rest stops for your comfort and a break for lunch. Arrive at your hotel in Marrakech late afternoon with free time to rest after check-in. [B]
Day 5: Marrakesh
This morning, meet you guide to explore the city, starting at the 16th century Saadian Tombs, where Saadian royalty found their final resting place. Continue on to the Koutoubia Minaret and the magnificent Bahia Palace. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase authentic Moroccan argan oil, reputedly rich in nutrients and antioxidants beneficial to skin and hair, before strolling through the bustling Medina to Djemaa el Fna square, the city's lively center. Free afternoon for you to continue discovering Marrakech. In the evening Enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner with show. [D]
Option: Afternoon camel ride. Discover the tranquility of the palm grove, an oasis of palm trees outside Marrakech, as you ride Berber-style through the lush valley on a dromedary, a member of the camel family.
Day 6: Marrakech, Casablanca
After breakfast, we drive to Casablanca, arriving in time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon, take a tour that includes the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque* and the magnificent Corniche waterfront. Continue through Casablanca's residential neighborhoods to the city center to visit Place Mohamed V, the Habous district and Notre Dame de Lourdes Cathedral. This evening, you'll bid farewell to Morocco and your Tour Manager at a hotel reception.
*The Hassan II Mosque is subject to unexpected closures for local religious observances. Details will be provided locally by your Tour Manager.
Option: Hot-air balloon flight*. Get up before dawn to take part in today's optional hot-air balloon excursion, which will allow you to witness the sunrise over Marrakech. Drift over the magnificent landscape, before returning to earth to enjoy a traditional Moroccan breakfast
Day 7: Casablanca, USA
Depending on your flight schedule yu may have some time for last shopping or just relaxing. AT the appointed time our representative will pick you up and drive you to the airport to board your flight back home.
